Dark Orbit
Dark orbit is a 2D science fiction MMO game that can be played without any kind of installation. It is an online game which can be played from the browser. It is a PvP game, with opportunity to play with countless players at the same time, if they are online. You can attack from any part of the Galaxy there is a stiff penalty on death. The battle is for the control of the mine ores and lucrative fields and the survivor is the winner.
The game
Within a short time of its existence, Dark Orbit, which is an online MMORPG by Bigpoint, has become very popular among the gamers who are thrilled by space wars. You are safe in the first few zones but the battle is fierce after that and it is a virtual free for all.
There are three powerful mining companies who are always engaged in an intense battle with each other as each one wants to rule the galaxy. If you wish to play the game, you are asked to join one of these companies. The thinking of these companies is unique and you can switch loyalties midway between the game but it costs huge penalty. The names of these companies are
Earth Industries corporation- faithful to the company and have shared goals
Mars Mining Operation- They just believe in making profits at any cost
Venus resources Unlimited- Their objective is to care for the galaxy and they cars for their employees too.
The game is set in the year 2150, on the latest planet in our galaxy, Nibiru. You are the sole survivor in the shattered mining colony and you have to defend yourself from the alien enemies that seem to come from everywhere. To escape from their attacks, you are required to collect the precious metal that is available in plenty which will help you to add firepower and upgrade of your warship. You have to fight with the aliens and keep collecting precious metals so that you can get more weapons and upgrade your ship so that you can ultimately leave the barren planet. If you are new to the game, there is a help button which tells all about the controls and the options you have if you find yourself confronted by the enemies.
