XBlaster: Big machines, Big fights
Bigpoint has come up with yet another winner in the form of XBlaster, which is 2D, open browser game. It is 2D, sci-fi game where online players fight each other with giant machines. You can choose from 3 different types of machines. There is the option of completing the mission alone or you can choose to earn credits by defeating other players. You can buy new weapons and upgrade your machine to become one of the deadliest Mech in the world.
The game
There are some that XBlaster is just an improvement upon Gladius 2, but in reality it is much more than just being a modern version of Gladius 2. In XBlaster, PvP plays an important role. Game play is similar to Gladius 2 but the settings are totally different. Whereas in Gladius it was ancient Rome, here the game is set in Sci-Fi arena with big mechs. If you wish to play the game, you will have to choose between three mechs. You will be given some basic equipment such as a gun, a grenade launcher and a chain saw. You have to earn credits which will help you in upgrading these weapons along with your mech’s armor. If you spend some time in the arena, you earn the skill points. You also earn them by completing missions. The arena is free for all, and all the players across the world come in their quest to this arena.
Inside this arena are crates which are full of skill points, credits, jackpot points and temporary buffs. These skill points prove beneficial later on as they help in purchasing new weapons and equipments like shields, flamethrowers, mines and the dangerous plasma gun.
Mech Types
The Ranger- For close range duels, there is none to beat this mech. It has a special power called Nitro package which gives extra speed when required. The Ranger has a canon which does 30% damage to the Hunter mech.
The Defender- For long range combat, this is more suitable. Defender has a special Shield which renders other Mechs immovable temporarily.. It is equipped with impulse weapons which deals 30% damage to the Ranger mechs.
The Hunter- This Mech has the highest damage potential. The Hunter has a special seeking Missile which causes great damage to the opponents. It has a special plasma gun which causes damage to the other mechs.
